Praise the Lord! James was able to get his cast off yesterday (and pin removed) and is thrilled to have some freedom. However, please continue to pray for him as now that his thumb isn't protected as much, he is more susceptible to hitting it/increased pain. James was finally able to wash his hand, scratch the hand itches he's had for five weeks, and shower without having to put a plastic bag over his hand (some of the things we take for granted.) He does not need therapy at this point and his follow up appointment is at the beginning of January.
We seem to making some progress with toilet training. There are so many tips, techniques, and training methods out there, that this has been a big "mountain" for me - figuring out what works for us/Eliana. We've been casually working on this since mid-June maybe. Though I don't want to get too descriptive or personal (or air "dirty laundry" - ha, ha), this is day four of big girl undergarments and only one accident so far. And we haven't been staying at home either! It's a stretch for me, but Eliana seems to be growing in her understanding. Our little girl is growing up and the emotions sure flood in from time to time. This seems to be one of those times!
P.S. We don't recommend products much because most people have their own preferences and opinions, but we find this product is wonderful (particularly because of the large "bowl"-no chance of leaks) and is well worth the expense.
