Things We've Learned - #6: Sometimes We Live with a Pig, a Mouse, and a Moose

Quite some time ago we noticed a series of children's books that looked interesting. Just from the illustrations on the outside of the books, they seemed like they would be enjoyable. Well, since then we have acquired a few books in the series and have recently read and enjoyed them. Some of the titles by Laura Numeroff include: If You Give a Pig a Pancake, If You Give a Moose a Muffin, and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.

If you have a toddler and have read these books, then you know exactly why the books are so humorous. If you will soon have a toddler and haven't read these books, then you are welcome to borrow them so you can get prepared! Every time we have a whirlwind activity day with interests changing every ten to fifteen minutes, we are always reminded of these books and share some laughter, realizing that the author was "spot on" with toddler behavior. Some days we literally live in a zoo! :o) We enjoy every minute of it, too!
