Several weeks ago after a Wednesday night service, we were singing a random song to Landon and he began crying. It wasn't a "please make it stop cry" but rather a brokenhearted kind of cry and it melted our hearts. Since then we have discovered a variety of songs elicit the same response - "Away in a Manger", "Rock a Bye Baby", "Jesus Loves Me", "This is the Day That the Lord Hath Made", and a song we made up when Eliana was a baby (included in this video).
Never mind the singing. The words are "Landon James, we love you. Landon James, we love you. You're the treasure that God gave us. Landon James, we love you. Landon James, God loves you. Landon James, God loves you. He sent His Son to save you, and we pray you'll love Him, too."
The best part is when I am holding Landon and this happens, I am not only the recipient of some super sweet hugs, but I also get to wipe away his tears.
