We are about to embark on another new experience as parents. At the end of this month we are moving Eliana into a "big girl" bed. No, we have not been in a hurry to do it, but believe that this is a good time for all of us. As we often do, we sit back and observe Eliana in action, are in amazement at how quickly she has grown, and wonder where the time went. Never will we "get over" how she came to us, but more importantly, Who brought her to us.
We are nervous and excited about this new change about to take place. We've already done some preliminary work (Stay tuned for the before and after pictures next month.), but September 27 Eliana will be staying with my parents most of the day so we can rearrange everything. When she comes home it will be fun to watch her discover all the new things in her room. (And, of course, we have a half-birthday to celebrate the next day!) What a weekend it will be!
Do any of you have any tips, advice, words of caution, or funny stories to share with us?

We were really blessed b/c Samantha did great with her transistion. I was so nervous. We made a big deal about her big girl bed and like you, we decorated and made it fun. I bet Ellie will do just fine. Good luck! It's an exciting time.
Oh, such a big milestone...maybe even bigger for the parents than the child. =)
She will love it, I'm sure. She'll think she's big stuff. =)
Good luck with the transition!
