Artistry

My brother, Greg, has been interested in art for most of his life.  He started out drawing sketches when he was in elementary school (maybe even church!) then progressed to more intricate drawings and eventually developed a love for oil painting.  Graduating from Pensacola Christian College in 2003 and earning his Masters in Fine Arts in 2006, Greg has received several awards for his work and continues to refine the talents God has blessed him with.  Currently Greg is working in the advertising department of Pensacola Christian College.  His wife, Sara, is working in the publishing department.

As you may know from the link on our blog, Greg has several pieces of art at a gallery in Colorado.  Greg has also had several commissions over the past few years, and has contributed to the artwork in our family as well.

Because of Greg's love for art, he has developed a great knowledge of artists around the world and particularly admires the work of Morgan Weistling, Dan Gerhart, and Richard Schmid.   Recently Greg learned that representatives from Richard Schmid's auction visited the Roundhouse Art Gallery in Colorado. Greg's portrait entitled, "Looking Out" caught their attention and then they specifically chose it to include in the upcoming auction.  We are excited at the opportunity that God has given him and pray that God will bless him for being not just an artist, but a Christian artist who desires to please Him and glorify Him with and through his talents.

Here is a sampling of additional paintings.

He is extremely talented! I could not even imagine having that kind of ability. "Looking Out" is absolutely precious, and I can see why they chose it for the auction.
